Job Description

Megamind Learning Centre - Guelph is seeking a highly motivated and experienced English and Math tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide quality English and Math instruction to students from Grade 1 to Grade 8. Tutor/teachers at Megamind Learning Centre do not have to prepare lesson plans as all lesson plans will be provided to you.

Duties

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of students Assist students in understanding and mastering subject material, including homework help and test preparation Develop personalized lesson plans that align with students' learning objectives Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic performance and areas for improvement Create a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere that encourages student participation Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles

Requirement

Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Candidates currently in undergraduate university degrees will also be considered Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Available to work some weekday evenings from 4-8 pm and / or Saturday mornings

Experience

Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is highly desirable Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred Classroom experience is a plus, demonstrating the ability to manage groups of students effectively A passion for education and helping students achieve their academic goals is essential

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.55-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week

Work Location: In person
