S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring and Test Preparation Services is hiring

Teachers and Teacher-Candidates

to provide customized tutoring services to students in their homes on a consistent weekly basis.

Tutoring Jobs: Alliston, Tottenham, Beeton

Grade 1 - 3 Math and Language (Reading, Writing)

Grade 4 - 6 Math and Language (Reading, Writing)

Grade 7 - 10 Math and English (Reading, Writing)

S.M.A.R.T. Tutor Description

Provide objective-based academic support and study strategies to students on a 1:1 basis.

Teach short lessons and implement tasks that promote understanding.

Respond to emails and submit monthly documentation in a timely manner.

Tutor Skills

Communication and interpersonal skills to confidently explain information

Administrative and organizational skills to manage time and meet deadlines

Computer skills to complete documentation (Word format) and respond to emails

Responsibility to understand and work independently within an outlined framework

Qualifications:

This position is an excellent fit for you if you have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a working knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum. OCT Certification is preferred. If you are currently working on a Degree in Education (with a Transitional Certificate), you are also invited to apply.

Work Hours

Schedule your own working hours (minimum 4 hours per week)

Tutoring happens after school (September - June) 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Summer Review/ Preview Sessions (July - August) 9:00 am - 8:00 pm

This is a 12-month contract. Applicants must be available to start immediately and be able to commit their time until December 31, 2026.
