Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with a focus on fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves working closely with students to help them improve their understanding of various subjects, enhance their academic skills, and build confidence in their abilities.

Duties

Provide small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. Springboard off of online instructional materials that align with curriculum standards. Adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning. Foster a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere that encourages student participation. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding academic progress and areas for improvement. Utilize various teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Experience

Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is required Strong communication skills are essential for effectively conveying concepts and engaging students. Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred. Classroom experience is a plus, as it demonstrates familiarity with educational environments and practices. A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed academically is crucial for this role. Comfortable supporting students up to a grade 10 level. Bachelor's Degree required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.5 per week
