Brookstone Academy is an innovative non-profit private school, centrally located in the countryside of Oro-Medonte. We are currently seeking tutors to offer individualized and small group support to students in JK - Grade 12 after school hours (evenings and weekends) While in person is preferred, there is the option of online tutoring as well. While this is a service we will offer distinct from our day school we expect all tutors to uphold the quality of programming we offer in our day program in keeping with our values. Brookstone offers a caring small group learning environment for direct instruction as well as whole group experiential, project based learning that is driven by student interests. Our low student-teacher ratio allows us to differentiate and individualise programs for each student. We prioritise the use of kindness and compassion in all our interactions with students, other teachers and parents, and pride ourselves on the meaningful relationships and constant communication we have with our families. Students also have opportunities for movement or calming breaks where they can meet their sensory needs and explore mindfulness strategies and yoga.
