Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to support students of various ages and educational backgrounds (French, English, Maths). The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for helping learners achieve their academic goals. This role involves providing personalized instruction, developing engaging lesson plans, and utilizing learning technology to enhance the educational experience. The Tutor will work in diverse settings, including classrooms, online platforms, and one-on-one sessions, fostering a positive learning environment for children, teens, and adults.

Duties

Deliver individualized tutoring sessions tailored to each student's needs across multiple subjects and age groups Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning styles and educational requirements Utilize learning technology tools to facilitate interactive and effective instruction Assist students with homework, test preparation, and skill development in various academic areas Manage classroom or virtual environments effectively, ensuring student engagement and discipline Track student progress and provide feedback to students and parents or guardians as appropriate Support special education needs by implementing inclusive teaching strategies Plan lessons that incorporate best practices in early childhood education, preschool experience, or adult education as needed Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere that promotes confidence and a love for learning

Requirements

Fluency in French Experience working with students of different ages, including children with special needs or early childhood education backgrounds Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital instructional tools Prior tutoring or teaching experience in classroom settings or one-on-one environments Knowledge of childcare, preschool experience, or adult education is a plus Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs Experience working with children or in special education programs is highly desirable Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for education
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
