The Turnaround Support Operator will provide hands on active role in the control of field work hazards during shutdown and start-up of new and existing equipment and process systems. The Turnaround Support Operator will work a 40 hour/week dayshift schedule and transition to a 12-hour, rotating, day/night schedule during the Shutdown, Turnaround and Start-up phase.

Responsibilities:

Issue work permits to maintenance craft and facilities contractors for piping & equipment repairs and alterations ensuring work is safe to commence;

Responsible to identify all operational preparations (e.g. isolations) required prior to work commencing;
/lili
Ensure Work Permits are clearly reflective of what precautions needed to be taken during the work, including use of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
/lili
Supports Operations field activities (process unit activities);
/lili
Attends monthly safety meetings for Unit/Crew assigned to Make recommendations to improve the reliability, safety and quality of plant operations;

Successful candidates will have:

Previous experience in Refinery/Upgrader, commissioning, Turnaround, and start-up activities;

Minimum ABSA 4th Class Power Engineering required

Ideally 8+ years Process Operating Experience
/lili
Willing to work a rotating shift schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
/lili
Able to climb ladders and stairs;
