Job Description
INTERN - FINANCIAL ANALYST
Reporting to the Director of Finance for "SOP" (Operations Support), the Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the production of accurate and timely consolidated financial information for use by management and business leaders. The SOP department is a large department that is responsible for fleet management, real estate, warehousing and procurement. Specifically, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and presentations
- Participate in the month-end closing process, including analysis, closing entries, explanations, etc.
- Perform various balance sheet reconciliations
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process
- Prepare ad hoc analysis, presentations and financial reports as required
- Support to the team
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Analytical and problem solving skill
- Ability to take initiative, work independently in an efficient manner
- Good knowledge of Excel and experience with accounting software
- Current Bachelor\'s degree in the field of accounting
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices (Debit/Credit)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (French and English)
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all categories of employees
