Job description Kingdon Timber Mart is a one-stop-shop for lumber, building materials, hardware, home finishes and so much more! We design and supply wood roofs trusses and floors trusses as well as engineered wood products to our customers. We are looking for a full time Truss and EWP Designer to join our team today! What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Bring to the Team:
  • Experience in truss design software, or a diploma/certificate in Architectural, Civil, or Construction Engineering
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn
  • Strong numeracy and computer skills
  • CAD software experience
  • Strong understanding of both residential and commercial building design
  • Having a knowledge of Part 9 building code is needed.
  • Superior mathematics and physics related skills
  • Demonstrated skills working in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service
  • Experience with complex problem-solving projects
  • MiTek design software experience (Sapphire preferred)
  • Javelin design experience for EWP
  • Design and customer service experience
  • Ability to maintain positive customer relations via phone and e-mail
  • Proficiency reading, writing, and speaking English
