Summary
We're looking for two
Truck Transport Technicians
to join our team. In this role, you'll diagnose and repair a wide range of heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment -- ensuring every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest safety and quality standards. If you're a reliable, detail-oriented
licensed technician, or a third or fourth year apprentice

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair various makes and models of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
Perform motor vehicle inspections and record findings accurately and professionally.
Ensure safety compliance at all times -- both in-shop and on off-site service calls.
Prepare and manage work orders, including labour times, job details, and parts accuracy.
Provide clear communication to customers and colleagues regarding repair needs and progress.
Operate shop equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, power tools) safely and efficiently.
Participate in on-call and weekend rotation, as required.
Assist with shop cleaning and maintenance and other related duties.
Requirements
3-5 years' experience as a Truck & Transport Technician. While applications from licensed techs are preferred, we are also accepting applications from third and fourth year apprentices.
Ability to work on BTC's Night Shift from 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m., Monday - Thursday.
Valid Class 5 Driver's license
Strong understanding of diesel and spark ignition engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and powertrains.
Skilled with diagnostic scan tools and interpreting repair information.
Able to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions.
Committed to safety, accuracy, and quality workmanship.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties requiring standing, bending, and manual dexterity.
