Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of freight handling, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair, ensuring that our vehicles are maintained in optimal condition.

Duties

Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck to ensure it remains in good working order.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving, with a strong understanding of freight handling procedures. Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Basic knowledge of automotive repair for minor maintenance tasks on the vehicle. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
