Education
-------------Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Tasks
---------Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions Load and unload goods Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
----------------------------------------------------Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
Documentation knowledge
---------------------------Bill of lading Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Communication systems experience
------------------------------------Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Security and safety
-----------------------Driver's validity licence check
Transportation/travel information
-------------------------------------Travel expenses paid by employer Valid driver's licence Willing to travel for extended periods
