Tasks
---------Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Report any malfunctions to supervisor Participate in safety audits and programs Complete logbooks and reports
