The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion-dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. What you'll do:
Reporting to the Lumber & Hardware Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused delivery and yard operations.
Responsibilities
Provide safe and efficient loading and unloading of products, ensuring protection of customer property during delivery to avoid damage.
Deliver products in a courteous and professional manner, observing all traffic, height, and load-limit regulations to ensure lawful and safe operation of trucks.
Check all customer and delivery loads for accuracy and completeness prior to departure, ensuring quality standards are met.
Maintain yard and warehouse organization for efficient access to products, while assisting customers with loading as required.
Perform daily inspections of trucks and equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness and assist with inventory control when not delivering.
Remain alert to unauthorized removal of products and maintain awareness of safety hazards within the yard and warehouse.
Provide full loading service in the yard, supporting team members and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Observe all company safety practices, report hazards promptly, and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
Perform general cleaning, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.
Who are you:
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial truck delivery, with strong knowledge of driving laws and regulations.
At least 1 year of experience working in a retail or lumber yard environment.
Demonstrated experience in loading and unloading products safely and efficiently.
Valid Class 3 or Class 1 driver's license, with a current and acceptable driver's abstract.
Valid WHMIS and TDG certifications (training provided if required).
Strong computer skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a professional, neat, and clean appearance.
Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends as required.
A valid forklift license is considered an asset (training to be provided).

This is a
part-time permanent position
located in Pincher Creek, AB. This role requires occasional travel across Pincher Creek Co-op's trading areas in addition to attending other scheduled meetings with FCL Zone and Home Office teams.
