Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of working hours and vehicle service. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Operate heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck when necessary.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred. Experience operating forklifts is a plus. Basic knowledge of automotive repair is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety.
