Ce que vous ferez au cours d\xe2\x80\x99une journ\xc3\xa9e type :

• Conduire en toute s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 un ensemble tracteur-remorque, y compris les tracteurs doubles et triples.
• Fournir un excellent service aux clients, y compris la g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9ration de pistes de vente.
• Charger et d\xc3\xa9charger le fret.

Ce poste requiert la capacit\xc3\xa9 de :

• Soulever des objets de formes, de tailles et de poids divers (jusqu\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa0 50 livres fr\xc3\xa9quemment et plus de 75 livres occasionnellement) ; d\xc3\xa9placer et positionner un chariot de convertisseur d\xe2\x80\x99un poids moyen et d\xe2\x80\x99une force de traction d\xe2\x80\x99environ 128 livres.
• Monter et descendre en toute s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 de la cabine d\xe2\x80\x99un tracteur ou d\xe2\x80\x99une remorque.
• Rester assis pendant de longues p\xc3\xa9riodes dans un tracteur de camion et/ou sur un chariot \xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9vateur; utiliser en toute s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 des \xc3\xa9quipements lourds et un chariot \xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9vateur.
• Marcher et rester debout pendant de longues p\xc3\xa9riodes sur des surfaces vari\xc3\xa9es qui peuvent \xc3\xaatre irr\xc3\xa9guli\xc3\xa8res ou glissantes (y compris le travail en ext\xc3\xa9rieur par mauvais temps).
• Tendre la main (y compris au-dessus de la t\xc3\xaate), de se pencher, de grimper, de pousser, de tirer, de se tordre, de s\xe2\x80\x99accroupir et de s\xe2\x80\x99agenouiller.
• Conduire un ensemble tracteur-remorque pendant 11 heures cons\xc3\xa9cutives, par tous les temps, tout en transportant en toute s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 des mati\xc3\xa8res dangereuses ou non dangereuses.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do on a typical day:

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination, including doubles and triples
• Provide excellent service to customers, including generating sales leads
• Load and unload freight
• Perform vehicle inspections required under section 396.13 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (if crossing into the U.S.)

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need:

• To be 21 years of age or older
• Current Class 1 or Class A CDL with proper airbrake/manual transmission endorsements as indicated by each province
• Safe driving record and history

It\xe2\x80\x99d be great if you also have:

• Forklift experience
• Hazardous materials certificate(s)
• Proper airbrake/manual transmission endorsement(s) for other provinces

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally); move and position a converter dolly with an average weight/pull force of approximately 128 lbs.
• Safely climb in/out of a tractor cab/trailer
• Sit for extended periods of time in a truck tractor and/or on a forklift; safely operate heavy equipment and a forklift
• Walk and stand for extended periods of time on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery (including working outdoors in inclement weather)
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
• Operate a tractor-trailer combination up to 11 consecutive hours, in all types of weather, while safely transporting hazardous/non-hazardous materials
