Position Overview
:
As a Truck Driver at TTR, you will play a vital role in safely and efficiently transporting equipment, materials, and goods for a variety of projects. You will primarily haul
containers, miscellaneous flat-deck equipment, and oversized loads
using heavy trucks, trailers, and specialized transport vehicles. This position requires expertise in managing diverse cargo types while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance, and exceptional driving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Operations:
Safely operate heavy trucks and trailers to transport containers, flat-deck equipment, and oversized loads to and from job sites.
Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections:
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
Load Securing:
Safely load, secure, and unload cargo in compliance with National Safety Code (NSC) standards and company policies.
Documentation:
Accurately complete bills of lading, manifests, permits, and driver logs.
Route Planning:
Plan and follow optimal routes, accounting for load type, road conditions, and applicable regulations.
Compliance:
Adhere to Hours-of-Service regulations and company safety protocols.
Weather Adaptability:
Drive in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with dispatchers, on-site teams, and operations managers to ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of
2 years
of professional truck driving experience, preferably with heavy haul or oversized loads.
License:
Valid Class 1 driver's license with air brake endorsement.
Driver's Abstract:
A clean driving record with no major violations (a recent abstract is required).
Regulations Knowledge:
Familiarity with NSC standards, cargo securement, and weight restrictions.
Technology:
Experience using electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS systems.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to handle physical tasks, including securing loads and climbing into trucks.
Preferred Skills
Experience with oversized or over-dimensional loads.
Certifications such as Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) or WHMIS.
Knowledge of specialized heavy haul equipment like flatbeds, step decks, or low beds.
Cross-border driving experience (if applicable).
What We Offer

Overtime paid after 60 hours @ 1.5x
