Truck Driver

Job Description

Reporting to the Underground Manager, the Truck Drivers are responsible for safely transporting construction equipment, aggregates, and materials to and from job sites across the Fort McMurray region. This role requires operating various trucks and truck with trailer, ensuring loads are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment. Promote a strong safety culture and adhere to all company and OH&S regulations Operate a Class 1 and 3 truck to haul equipment and materials to various construction sites Secure loads properly to ensure safe transport and compliance with legal weight and tie-down requirements Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate driver logs and documentation Apply knowledge of city routes to ensure efficient delivery of materials--no long-haul driving required Support road construction operations with an understanding of site needs and equipment handling Assist with loading/unloading and communicate effectively with dispatch and site personnel Participate in daily hazard assessments and safety meetings

What You Bring



2+ years of experience as a Class 1 or 3 Driver in construction, heavy civil, or local equipment hauling Valid Class 1 or 3 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract (no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions) Experience hauling equipment and understanding road-building operations Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and working in varying weather conditions Willing to travel and work out of town for short, fixed-term periods, as needed
