Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the freight.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Perform basic automotive repair and maintenance as needed to ensure vehicle readiness. Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as required for loading and unloading tasks.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. A commitment to safety standards and practices in all aspects of driving and handling freight.
