Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.

Duties

Operate heavy trucks to transport freight to various locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and cargo details. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Perform basic automotive repair and maintenance on the truck as needed to ensure optimal performance.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations. Proficient in operating forklifts and heavy equipment safely. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. B train experience an asset Must be able to operate manual transmission
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 70 per week
