Class 1 Truck Driver

Atlantic Explosives Limited is currently seeking a self-motivated energetic individual to join our team! We are looking for someone who is hard working, reliable and willing contribute in a variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities & Priorities

:

Transportation of raw materials and packaged products in a safe and efficient manner, throughout Eastern Canada. Positive attitude & Commitment to safety Comply with all legislation regarding: Safe operation Carriage of goods Driver's hours of service Occupational health and safety Transportation of dangerous goods Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Assist in loading and unloading of tractor Criminal record check & Clean Driver's abstract must be provided upon hiring

Basic Requirment:

Valid Class I Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract A safety conscious, reliable and positive teamwork attitude Minimum of two (2) years' experience driving Strong work ethic and ability to work independently Availability to work flexible hours Properly maintain equipment and tools Ensure clean job site Capability of lifting 50lbs Other Duties as required

General Duties and Responsibilities

Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order. Grease weekly. Report mechanical problems to the mechanic Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate. Record and maintain required documentation including driver logbook

Pay: $68,085.00-$90,407.00 per year
