Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively.

Responsibilities

Operate and drive trucks to transport goods to various locations. Ensure that freight is loaded and unloaded safely and securely. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on highways and local roads. Assist with basic automotive repair and maintenance tasks as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Operate heavy equipment or forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is preferred. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs as needed for vehicle upkeep. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to lift heavy loads and operate a forklift safely when required. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service. Must pass background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process.
