Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations. Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency. Basic automotive repair skills for minor vehicle maintenance. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and paperwork.
