Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, reliability, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.

Duties

Safely operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that may occur during transportation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of oneself and others on the road.

Skills

Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including trucks and forklifts. Strong background in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Basic knowledge of automotive repair to address minor vehicle issues as needed. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and best practices. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
