Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service. This role involves transporting goods across various distances while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all regulations. A successful Truck Driver will possess excellent driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and the ability to handle freight efficiently.

Responsibilities

Operate and drive trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Ensure that cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving or heavy equipment operation is preferred. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety regulations. Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment safely. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform basic automotive repairs. Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if necessary.
