Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties

Operate trucks to transport freight across designated routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment as required during loading and unloading processes.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance. Experience operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
