Overview

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team as an on call/Part time employee

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. We are looking for someone who fits a customer service driven environment and is flexible with weekday hours. Ideal candidate would be semi retired person with a proven background.

Duties

Safely operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed. Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and traffic laws during operations.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation is preferred. Forklift certification is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
