Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to make deliveries of dairy products direct to customers in the Victoria region from Nanaimo. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining the highest standards of vehicle operation and compliance with transportation regulations.

Duties

Safely operate trucks for the transportation of freight, equipment, and heavy loads across designated routes. Load and unload freight Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with company policies. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license. Familiarity with forklift operation and freight handling procedures. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is preferred. Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues. Prior experience in logistics or transportation industries is advantageous. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment use. Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
