Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight with care. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all regulations and company policies.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist in minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Operate heavy equipment and forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading freight.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license. Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques for basic vehicle maintenance. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Experience with forklift operation is preferred. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local roadways. Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety protocols and regulations. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
