Rollins Machinery, a lower mainland-based equipment distributor, is currently seeking a customer service oriented, responsible and flexible individual for a •Truck Driver • position working out of our 4 facilities (Langley, Chilliwack, Chemainus, Kelowna). , such as: tractors, pavers, skid steers, street sweepers, mini-excavators, and more.

This isn't your typical Driver position, as there are different options for the role depending on the candidate's skillset. Read below for further details.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate truck in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while ensuring the safe transportation of equipment (as listed above, along with other lines Rollins represents).
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries as required by company policy.
• Manage delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while on the road and at loading/unloading sites.
• Assist with basic repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability, as well as possible minor repairs to transported equipment.
• Confident driver in all weather conditions.
• Specialized training will be provided as available.
• This position is primarily for day trip transportation, however interprovincial travel may be required occasionally.
• Opportunity to train on equipment operation and become a leader for future training of personnel.
• Options for the position include: A) part-time Driver, with potential to grow into a full-time role, or B) full-time Driver that also works as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic at our facilities between deliveries. (proven Heavy-Duty Mechanic work experience and qualifications required).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class 1 driver's licence with clean driver's abstract (copy required for employment).
• Knowledge of farm, mowing and paving equipment is considered an asset, as you may be required to tend to minor fixes on the road.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems is an asset.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
• Committed to customer service, efficiency, service excellence, and achievement. You will be representing Rollins for customer deliveries of newly purchased equipment, and therefore require a friendly, confident, respectful demeanor
• Advanced proficiency in English (oral & written) is necessary for this position, for effective communication with customers, the service team and other branch personnel.
• Positive work ethic.
