Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations.

Duties

Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of goods. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid truck driver's license. Strong knowledge of freight handling and transportation regulations. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Basic automotive repair skills for minor vehicle maintenance. Experience operating forklifts is a plus. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Attention to detail in completing paperwork and maintaining records.
