Ossa Terra is an earthworks and outdoor demolition company that also does some snow clearing in heavy snow fall.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for hauling heavy equipment including over dimension and overweight loads. The candidate would also be expected to be able to skillfully haul dirt, gravel, snow, and debris. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle and to ensure compliance with all transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport equipment, dirt and aggregate to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other necessary documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Utilize forklifts for loading and unloading when necessary. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to maintain vehicle performance.

Requirements

Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving or heavy equipment operation is preferred. Please bring a current driver's abstract if you have one. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is a plus. Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance practices is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policies.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
