Truck Driver (Full-Time)

Job Overview

Beretta Farms Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting our products safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. This role requires commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.

Duties

Maintain required logbooks.

Operate heavy trucks to transport freight to designated locations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling of materials.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.

Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal regulations regarding transportation.

Operate equipment as required for loading and unloading.

Provide warehouse assistance when not performing driving duties.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Monday to Friday. Weekends off.

Alberta routes only

Requirements

Valid Alberta Class 1 Drivers' License with Q endorsement.

Ability to pass a road test (third-party administered).

Successful completion of a criminal history check.

Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.

Provide and maintain a clean 5-year commercial driver's abstract.

Minimum of two (2) years' driving experience.

Attention to detail in maintaining records and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Load securement experience and competent in freight handling procedures.

Ability and willingness to work in environments with marked temperature changes.

Capable of physical labor, including lifting items up to 25kg on a regular basis.

Must be able to chain up as required.

Responsible for compliance with Health & Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and Environmental Standards at all times.
