Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving and the ability to operate heavy equipment. A commitment to maintaining high standards of service and professionalism is essential.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise, as well as sending updates. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Familiarity with freight handling processes and safety protocols. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability. At least 2 years of driving experience with a clean driving record.

Driving

You may be required to drive anywhere within Canada and USA. There may be some pin-to-pin trips to and from Calgary, however they may not always be available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.01-$31.97 per hour

Expected hours: 60 - 120 per week
