Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment as needed.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment when necessary. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is preferred. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs on the truck as necessary. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$26.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 28.5 per week
