Newfoundland Eggs Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage deliveries effectively. The Truck Driver will play a key role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

Operate commercial trucks to transport products to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Pick orders, load, and unload products onto the trailer, ensuring proper handling and securement of the load. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries. Communicate effectively with shippers, receivers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs when necessary. Operate heavy equipment during loading and unloading processes as required.

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class 1 Commercial Driver's License . Familiarity with delivery handling procedures. Background in automotive repair is a plus, as it enhances the ability to perform minor repairs on the road. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. A criminal record check is required for this position. Availability to work Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.
