Tuya Construction Ltd. In Chilliwack is currently looking for Class 1 Truck Drivers. The following are some of, but not limited to, the job requirements, abilities and understandings:

A minimum of 1 year experience operating a Truck and Pony, End Dump Valid Class 1 Drivers License Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Able to operate in all weather conditions Ability to work as a team member and equally motivated to work independently Ability to exercise good judgement and show initiative Provide a clean drivers abstract

Responsibilities:

Operate equipment safely at all times Follow instructions of Foreman/Superintendant Conduct pre-shift / post-shift walk-around safety inspections Actively participate in toolbox meetings Log and report any maintenance concerns with the truck Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members

Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures including but not limited to backing up procedures, use of spotters, signage, incident reporting Knowledge of gravel truck / semi truck operation, cleaning and maintenance requirements

Work Environment:

Work outdoors in all seasons Work near traffic Exposure to loud noises

Compensation:

Wage will be based on knowledge, skill, and experience Extended benefits after a 3 month period

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
