Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service, with opportunities to utilize heavy equipment operation and automotive repair skills. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our freight operations.

Duties

Safely operate commercial trucks, including roll-off/crane truck. Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed Inspect vehicles regularly for mechanical issues and perform basic automotive repairs or coordinate repairs with maintenance teams Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and compliance documentation Communicate effectively with dispatchers, office staff, and on-site staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road or in the warehouse

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a background in freight transportation or logistics Valid Class 1 Drivers License with a clean driving record Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts/excavators is preferred Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous for maintaining vehicle performance Prior experience handling freight securely and efficiently is desirable Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments is a plus Crane operation experience is an asset
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
