Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations. Candidates with skills in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and forklift operation are highly valued to support various logistical needs.

Duties

Safely operate trucks for local or long-distance freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and issues. Assist with vehicle maintenance or minor repairs, including automotive troubleshooting when necessary. Operate heavy equipment safely during loading and unloading processes to ensure cargo integrity. Follow all company policies related to safety, security, and transportation procedures.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred. Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair is a plus. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs as needed. Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks related to loading/unloading cargo.
