Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled long haul ( Calgary AB to USA)Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills, along with the ability to operate heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs when necessary.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while driving and handling freight. Perform minor automotive repairs on the truck as needed to ensure optimal performance.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment safely. Basic understanding of automotive repair techniques for troubleshooting vehicle issues. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients. Attention to detail, particularly regarding safety practices and documentation.
