Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver who has class 1 licence with crane and moffat to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires the ability to operate heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs as needed. A successful Truck Driver will ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations.

Duties

Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations is preferred. Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment is a plus. Basic knowledge of automotive repair techniques is advantageous. Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.
