Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform minor automotive repairs and operate heavy equipment when necessary.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight during transport. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure the truck is in optimal working condition. Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment when required for loading and unloading tasks.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is a plus. Knowledge of basic automotive repair is desirable. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
