Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of freight handling, commercial driving practices, and the operation of heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to keep the vehicle in optimal condition.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Experience in freight transportation and heavy equipment operation is preferred. Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus. Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to driving and freight handling. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance on trucks is advantageous. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
