Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving on highways and local roads. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure the truck is in optimal working condition.

Experience

Proven 3 years experience in commercial driving with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). ( Manual transmission is an asset ) Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is preferred. Previous experience in freight transportation or logistics is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude for basic automotive repair tasks is advantageous. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
