Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. A commitment to safety and professionalism is essential in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a safe and timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safety and compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Skills

Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols. Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment is preferred. Proficient in handling freight, including loading, unloading, and securing cargo. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on trucks. Excellent navigation skills with a good understanding of local roadways. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients. Attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records and ensuring cargo safety.
