Job Description

AYR Motor Express is currently seeking a Truck Dispatcher to work in our Woodstock, NB office. In this role the incumbent will be responsible for the movement of loads and trucks in a defined geographical area; ensure safe, efficient, on-time movement of all customer loads. This will be accomplished by working collaboratively with Planners, Drivers, and the Management Team. This position is all about communication, problem solving and efficient use of resources.Shift ScheduleWeek 1 - 7am to 3pm
Week 2 - 3pm to 11pm
Rotate back to week 1
Every 4th weekend, 8am to 5pm.Main Duties

• Ensure all units are on schedule for delivery and pickup
• Mentor our drivers to ensure compliance and increase customer satisfaction by:
• ensuring all drivers are aware that they must have an ACI set up prior to arriving at CND customs
• ensuring that all drivers have confirmed proper trailer and load from the paperwork provided
• create a strong relationship with all stakeholders
• Monitor miles per unit
• Ensure all applicable documentation is retained and processed

Education and Skills Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite

• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

• Analytical skills and Detail oriented
• Proven ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Transportation experience is an asset

• Dispatching experience is an asset
• Knowledge of Hours of Service requirements and legislation is an asset

Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $16.00-$18.00 per hourAdditional pay:
