Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation activities, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing routes. This position requires strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and a solid understanding of transportation management systems.

Duties

Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling of shipments. Utilize GIS and GPS technologies to optimize transportation routes and monitor fleet movements. Collaborate with drivers, customers, and vendors to facilitate effective communication and resolve any issues that arise during transit. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including data entry into transportation management systems such as Xpert , Avaal , Loadlink and DAT . Analyze freight data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency within the supply chain. Provide support for shipping & receiving processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Handle multi-line phone systems effectively while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.

Experience

Proven experience in dispatching or logistics roles is preferred. Familiarity with transportation planning and fleet management principles. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data for informed decision-making. Proficient in using transportation management systems; experience with AS400 is a plus. Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with various stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
