Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods and ensuring timely deliveries. You will work closely with drivers, customers, and various departments to facilitate efficient logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation management systems and supply chain processes, as well as excellent communication skills.

Duties

Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely delivery of freight. Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and manage logistics efficiently. Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status and any potential issues. Perform data entry tasks related to shipping and receiving operations. Analyze shipping data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency. Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls professionally and promptly. Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including documentation for 3PL (third-party logistics) providers. Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to freight movement.

Skills

Proficiency in transportation management systems and supply chain logistics. Familiarity with AS400 and SyteLine software for data management. Strong analysis skills for evaluating shipping data and performance metrics. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Accurate typing skills for efficient data entry tasks. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes within a logistics environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. Pay: $15.59-$29.75 per hour
