Position Overview
The
310T Certified Coach Bus & Truck Technician
is responsible for performing inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of highway coaches and commercial trucks. This role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on buses and other electric vehicles in accordance with MTO, NSC, and OEM standards
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using appropriate tools and software
Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and other major systems
Complete Schedule 4, Preventive, Annual and Semi-annual Safety Inspections
Maintain accurate documentation, work orders, and compliance records
Ensure all repairs meet safety, regulatory, and manufacturer requirements
Respond to road calls and breakdowns when required
Collaborate with operations and dispatch to prioritize urgent repairs
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications
Valid
310T Truck & Coach Technician Certification
(mandatory)
Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with heavy-duty trucks or coach buses
Strong understanding of MTO, NSC, and CVOR compliance requirements
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems
Experience with diesel engines, air brakes, and multiplex systems
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid G-class driver's licence (B/Z licence an asset)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
