Street Culture Project is hiring a

Cultural Mentor

to lead and grow our cultural programming at the Treehouse--a welcoming space for youth ages 13-24. This role blends mentorship, ceremony, and community partnership to foster healing, identity, and resilience through culture.

What You'll Do





This role is about connection, encouragement, and presence. You'll be part of the team that youth can count on--whether they're looking for resources, a safe place to land, or someone who believes in them.



You'll:


Facilitate cultural programming, ceremonies, and mentorship opportunities. Support Indigenous youth in reconnecting with their roots and self-identity. Build partnerships with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and cultural organizations. Coach staff on cultural responsiveness and inclusivity. Promote healing and growth through culture, connection, and care.


What You Bring





We're looking for someone who can show up with compassion, consistency, and curiosity.


Certificate/degree in Indigenous Studies, Human Services, or related field--or equivalent lived experience. Knowledge of Indigenous teachings, protocols, and community structures. Experience facilitating circles, ceremonies, or youth-focused programs. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Commitment to SCP's values: Youth-Centred Care, Trauma-Informed Practice, Harm Reduction, and Strength-Based Mentorship.


Additional Requirements




Valid SK Driver's License with clean abstract Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance (or willingness to obtain) Evening availability (3:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m., flexible scheduling)
