McMillan-McGee Corp. (Mc2) is an environmental technology firm engaged in the business of thermal soil and groundwater remediation across Canada and the US. Mc2, is the inventor of the globally recognized, patented thermal technologies ET-DSP(TM) and IT-DSP(TM), which we use to heat the subsurface to volatilize contaminants so that they can be removed and properly disposed of.
About the role
:
We are seeking a treatment system operator to operate our thermal remediation system for a 6-8 month contract. This job is at our project site in Montreal QC. Training is provided, but mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing in a light industrial environment is an asset.

Responsibilities:
Monitor remediation operations under the supervision of an Mc2 engineer;
Operate and maintain the well field vapor and liquid extraction systems;
Operate the aboveground treatment system;
Monitor well field conditions;
Collect process data and samples;
Distribute or enter data into the project webpage;
Perform Health and Safety tests with field instruments;
Respond to call out alarms from the equipment;
Perform maintenance on aboveground equipment;
Follow health and safety and engineering directions faithfully;
Maintain detailed daily logs of site events and submit detailed daily reports.
Qualifications:
WHIMIS
Experience with mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing in a light industrial setting
Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines
Flexible learning and working styles, so you work effectively in a diverse working environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Comfortable with Office 365 and related apps (Word, Excel, Email)
Physically able to keep up in a field environment
Experience with customer or client interactions, and an understanding of what it means to be the face of the organization while in the field
Must be able to don a respirator
Must be fluent in French and English
This is a full time (8 or 10 hour shifts), on-site position which requires travel, and from time to time may require overtime, or response to weekend/evening call outs.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 80 per week
